After months of teasing, Blackberry on Tuesday released an update for
their BBM app on both Android and iOS mobile operating systems, that
brings with it a bunch of cool new features.
BBM users can now send stickers which are larger, more expressive
images as compared to emoji icons that have made BBM a wildly popular
chatting app.
David Proulx, Senior Director, BBM at BlackBerry said, “Stickers let
you personalize your chats and strike the right chord with people around
the world who rely on stickers in chats when they connect with
colleagues, family, friends, peers and partners.” Users can also
purchase sticker packs from the newly introduced BBM Shop. The app also
adds the ability to send large files including images, up to a size of
16mb.
This update will bring both the
Android and iOS versions of the App to v2.1 and will be available on the
Google Play Store and Apple App Store in a few hours.
